D\u00e4rf\u00f6r var det ett enkelt val att efter gymnasiet l\u00e4sa maskinteknik p\u00e5 Lunds tekniska h\u00f6gskola.<br \/>\n\u2013 F\u00f6rbr\u00e4nningsmotorn uppfanns f\u00f6r \u00f6ver 100 \u00e5r sedan och den \u00e4r fortfarande f\u00f6ruts\u00e4ttning f\u00f6r att de flesta fordon ska fungera. Den kommer inte att ers\u00e4ttas av n\u00e5got annat inom \u00f6versk\u00e5dlig framtid n\u00e4r det g\u00e4ller tunga och l\u00e5nga transporter. D\u00e4rf\u00f6r \u00e4r det helt centralt att den utvecklas och f\u00f6rb\u00e4ttras f\u00f6r att m\u00f6ta framtidens krav p\u00e5 h\u00e5llbarhet och effektivitet, s\u00e4ger han.<br \/>\nUnder sin karri\u00e4r har Anders Hultqvist pr\u00f6vat m\u00e5nga olika roller, inom s\u00e5v\u00e4l akademin som industrin, i Sverige och utlandet. Den f\u00f6rsta tj\u00e4nsten var som industridoktorand p\u00e5 Scania, sedan f\u00f6ljde ett projektledarjobb p\u00e5 samma f\u00f6retag. Han har d\u00e4refter hunnit vara chef f\u00f6r ett motorlaboratorium p\u00e5 Lunds tekniska h\u00f6gskola, ansvarig f\u00f6r motorteknologi p\u00e5 Maersk, produktansvarig och senare FoU-chef p\u00e5 W\u00e4rtsil\u00e4 och drivit egen konsultbyr\u00e5. Sedan tv\u00e5 \u00e5r tillbaka \u00e4r Anders Hultqvist professor i f\u00f6rbr\u00e4nnings- och fordonsteknik p\u00e5 KTH.<br \/>\n\u2013 N\u00e4r man arbetar med fordon och motorer finns s\u00e5 m\u00e5nga olika v\u00e4gar att g\u00e5 och det finns en stor r\u00f6rlighet mellan sektorer. Det \u00e4r en v\u00e4ldigt tv\u00e4rvetenskaplig bransch, d\u00e4r industri, akademi och olika discipliner samverkar \u00f6ver gr\u00e4nserna. Min egen karri\u00e4r speglar detta, s\u00e4ger Anders Hultqvist.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Internationell karri\u00e4r<\/strong><br \/>\nHan framh\u00e5ller att det finns stora behov av duktiga ingenj\u00f6rer inom fordonsbranschen och goda m\u00f6jligheter till internationella uppdrag.<br \/>\n\u2013 Fordonsindustrin \u00e4r global och den som vill g\u00f6ra internationell karri\u00e4r har v\u00e4ldigt bra f\u00f6ruts\u00e4ttningar. F\u00f6retagen arbetar dessutom t\u00e4tt ihop med sina underleverant\u00f6rer, som ofta finns i andra l\u00e4nder, s\u00e5 \u00e4ven om man \u00e4r stationerad i Sverige s\u00e5 har man ofta internationella kontakter. Dessutom \u00e4r utbytet av teknologi och kunskap globalt.<br \/>\nI sin nuvarande roll som professor ser Anders Hultqvist det som en viktig uppgift att locka studenter att intressera sig f\u00f6r f\u00f6rbr\u00e4nningsmotorer och att vilja bidra till att utveckla dessa.<br \/>\n\u2013 Det \u00e4r en otroligt sp\u00e4nnande teknik som forts\u00e4tter att f\u00f6rfinas och f\u00f6rdjupas.
